The Mechanical Maintenance Planner supports the execution of timely maintenance activities by receiving, planning, estimating, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance work orders. The role ensures the timely and coordinated availability of facilities and equipment to be worked on, as well as the required parts, materials, special tools and equipment, personnel, and skills necessary for the efficient execution of maintenance work while planning and scheduling all maintenance activities. Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline related to planning. Good command of English, including speaking, reading, and writing. 5 - 7 years of experience in maintenance planning or related work assignments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion), planning software, dashboards, and reporting tools. Good report writing skills and very good communication skills. Maintenance Work Orders : Receives all the information, reports about the equipment conditions from the inspection and conditions monitoring section, from the production departments, and based on the information, plans to optimize maintenance in every aspect. Receives all maintenance work orders from the requestor organizations except for emergency work orders, which are given to the appropriate maintenance supervisor for immediate attention. Screens each work order to ensure that it has been properly filled out, discusses the details with the originating organizations, ensures that the scope of work is clearly described, ensures that the maintenance work being requested is properly authorized, and that the requested completion date is practical and provides the necessary lead time. Plans all the maintenance work received by dividing it into basic job steps, determines the sequence relative to each job step, and defines what safety procedures, parts, tools, skills, and personnel are required for each step. Plans all the maintenance works related to the shutdown of the installations: kilns, Cement mills, and Raw mills in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Once a job is planned, and prior to scheduling, the planner verifies the availability of the required resources comprising manpower, spare parts, materials, procedures, specifications, drawings, and special tools that will be required for execution. Initiates action for acquiring spare parts and materials that are not available. For work orders requiring partial participation of the non-concerned department, non-electrical & electronics maintenance personnel, copies of the original work orders are provided to the appropriate planner and coordinates in the planning for the supplemental work that is required within the overall plan for that work order. Prepares copies of work orders for jobs that are parts of the preventive maintenance program and standing work orders for selected repetitive jobs that are not included in such programs. Issue the work orders for execution in accordance with their established frequency from a master schedule. Initiates work orders for repairs discovered on Preventive Maintenance Inspections and obtains all required approvals. Maintains a backlog of all work orders awaiting scheduling in accordance with their priority limits. Prepares backlog reports for his assigned area/s of responsibility. At all times keeps advised on the status of minor maintenance log book jobs, and should such backlogs become excessive, schedules personnel for performing such work Scheduling: Develops each week a maintenance work schedule for the following week for the supervisors designated to his area. Selects from the backlog file for each crew, a group of work orders that can be scheduled and which will match with the skill capabilities of the crewmembers, taking into account and carry-over jobs from the previous schedule. Prepares the weekly scheduling meeting, which includes the different sections from the production and maintenance departments to improve downtime through maintenance system. Develops maintenance work schedule for each shutdown of Kilns, Cement mills and Raw mills to ensure work is being done in a timely, effective, and efficient manner. Develops each day a maintenance work schedule for the following days for the Supervisors and Foremen designated to his area. Selects from the weekly planning for each crew, a group of work orders that can be scheduled and which will match with the skill capabilities of the crewmembers, taking into account and carry-over jobs from the previous schedule. In the selection of jobs for scheduling, it is essential to meet the deadlines established by the requestor/s as well as maintaining the preventive maintenance schedule. If any work orders cannot be scheduled within the priority framework, the requesting organization must be immediately notified so that appropriate action may be taken to adjust that priority. Requests the assistance of the Maintenance Planning Superintendent when conflict/s arises concerning personnel allocation to work load requirements. Finalizes schedules for which he is responsible and ensures that work scheduled balances with the available personnel so that a full day’s work is provided for each person. Delivers the completed work schedules together with the related work orders chosen, each day to the Maintenance Supervisor of the executing department. Discusses with them, as necessary, any special instructions and considerations to be observed in the execution of the jobs and reviews with him new and upcoming jobs for the near future. Also reviews with the supervisor any men or crew who will be transferred the following day to or from his area. Spare Parts & Materials Required for Maintenance jobs: On the basis of firm work schedules, requisitions all pre-determined parts, materials, special tools and equipment and arranges for their timely delivery to the job sites or drop points. Ensures that equipment to be worked on will be available and ready, that any necessary functional or shop services will be provided at the proper time, and performs other coordination activities necessary for the orderly and efficient execution of the scheduled jobs by the executing maintenance supervisor and his respectively assigned crew. Cooperates with Materials Supply personnel by providing them with exact specifications and correct identification codes for items being requisitioned, with sufficient advance notice to permit timely ordering of required materials and as well as readily being available at the times scheduled as being needed. Reviews & Monitoring: Carefully reviews completed work schedules and corresponding work orders submitted by respective maintenance supervisors and assess the degree to which schedules are complied with. Provides details of such compliance, or lack of it and the extent of conformance to work order estimates to the respective executing Department Head with copy to the Division Superintendent. Reviews with respective executing maintenance supervisors, the actual labor versus estimated labor, used to complete jobs in order to determine corrective measures needed to improve accuracy of estimating methods or methods of work execution. Reports & Computerization: Provides all documents required for reporting, recording and/or closing out of work orders in accordance with standard practices. Maintains a file for each piece of controlled equipment and machinery. Each file must contain all information relevant to that piece of equipment, such as equipment data, closed out work orders, PM checklists, drawings, correspondence, failure reports, modifications, and related purchase requisitions. Develops specifications and standards related to maintenance jobs. Ensures the preparation of the weekly maintenance review meeting, calculation of maintenance KPIs, evaluation of the previous week concerning the efficiency of the execution. Promotes and helps in th
